Availability: I am Florida Supreme Court certified in Circuit Civil, Family Law and Appellate mediations, approved for Federal Court mediations in the Middle District of Florida and Foreclosure and Arbitration qualified.
Rates, Mediations: Effective 09/01/2014, the new rate for a 2 party mediation is a flat $400 for the first 3 hours of mediation, which is divided evenly between the parties unless otherwise agreed or ordered. All time in excess of 3 hours is billed at an incremental rate of $100.00 per hour. For example a 4 hour mediation would cost $400.00 for the first three hours and $100.00 for the fourth hour for a total of $500.00 or $250.00 per party.
Rates, Arbitrations: The current rate for Arbitrations is $150.00 per hour per party, to a maximum of $1,500.00 per day.
Mediation fees are due and payable at the conclusion of the mediation, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If counsel is advancing the fee, you will be provided an Invoice for Mediation Services at the conclusion of mediation with the expectation that all such Invoiced services will be paid within ten (10) days of the mediation.
Travel: New Tampa Mediation Services, Inc. is a very flexible and client oriented service provider. My office is located at 8875 Hidden River Parkway, Suite 300
Tampa, Florida 33637. If my office location is not suitable or convenient for you and your clients, we can always arrange for a mutually agreed convenient location. In the event it is necessary to rent alternative mediation facilities, the cost will be added to the Mediation Fee Invoice and divided equally between the parties. There is no charge for travel time.
Cancellations: I realize that schedules are always changing, and it is sometimes necessary to cancel or change a reserved mediation at the last minute. To better serve the legal community, I do not currently charge for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled mediation. In the event the mediation conference is cancelled at one party’s request less than 48 hours prior to the conference, weekends and holidays excluded, the responsible party(s) may be charged a $175.00 cancellation fee.
If the mediation is set unilaterally and the other party fails to appear, the party who set the mediation conference is responsible for 100% of the minimum fee. ($400.00)
